Join Dr. Rashad Shabazz for his talk, The Future of Cities, Geography, & Race. Drawing from Dr. Rashad’s book, Spatializing Blackness: Architectures of Confinement and Black Masculinity in Chicago, explore the history of confinement, policing, surveillance, urban planning, and incarceration of African American communities on the city’s South Side.
