Cultural Heritage Tourism Grants Funded

Pima County Parklands Foundation, Vail. Kekelbada Ha-Wo:gga Archaeology Trail (Path of the Ancestors), $10,000. A historic trail through prehistoric sites in Colossal Cave Mountain Park and Cienega Corridor, including signage, docent-led walks, reconstructed buildings, and living history activities. Project Director: J. J. Lamb. Tourism Partners: Pima County Department of Economic Development and Tourism, Southern Arizona Attractions Alliance.

Town of Springerville, Springerville. Casa Malpais Museum: Ancestral Pueblo Heritage, Upper Little Colorado, $10,000. An exhibit to organize, interpret, and display the artifact collections of the museum and visitor center, accompanied by an opening event. Project Director: Douglas Gann. Tourism Partners: Center for Desert Archaeology, Springerville-Eagar Regional Chamber of Commerce.
