Join us to hear internationally respected Ambassador Dennis Ross discuss the opportunities and challenges of sustainable peace in the Middle East and the use of negotiation as a foreign policy tool. Hear his thoughts about:
- Lessons he learned from 10 years of diplomacy representing the United States in Middle East negotiations.
- How the United States can most effectively negotiate viable solutions to the long-standing conflicts in the Middle East.
- Using the principles and practices of negotiation and respectful discourse here at home.
Dennis Ross helped shape U.S. involvement in the Middle East peace process for more than 12 years. A highly skilled diplomat, Ambassador Ross was the leading negotiator in the Middle East under Presidents George H.W. Bush and Bill Clinton. He was instrumental in assisting Israelis and Palestinians reach the 1995 Interim Agreement, brokered the 1997 Hebron Accord, and facilitated the 1994 Israel-Jordan peace treaty. He is author of Statecraft: How to Restore America’s Standing in the World.
