Thank you for your interest in the Ellis-Shackelford House! Located in the heart of downtown Phoenix, the Ellis-Shackelford House offers guests an opportunity to experience a distinctive piece of history. Built in 1917 and completely restored in 2013, the last original structure of Central Avenue’s “Millionaire’s Row” offers a unique space for meetings or receptions. As home to the nonprofit Arizona Humanities, we are excited to share our space with the community. Facility rental is available for businesses, corporations, individuals, and non-profit organizations.
Arizona Humanities is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. The revenue from special events helps fund Arizona Humanities programs.
The yard, front porch, and first floor are ADA accessible.
City permits are required to serve alcohol and to have amplified music. Permits may be obtained by appointment from the City of Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department.
