NEA Big Read programming provides communities with the opportunity to gather, discuss, and create in the spirit of a single book/author, in this case, The Essential Emily Dickinson. No previous experience with poetry or the works of Emily Dickinson is required.
Tell it Slant: An Emily Dickinson Discussion & Writing Workshop
In this talk, participants will learn about Dickinson’s life, read/discuss 2-3 iconic (and cryptic) Dickinson poems through the lens of her biography and craft a Dickison-inspired poem of their own.
