What Our Grief Grows: a workshop of words & wax
October 22 @ 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Join us for a community-led workshop by Arizona Humanities and Palabras Bookstore, in partnership with the NEA Big Read, where we will experience the mournful poetry of Emily Dickinson. Using Dickinson’s work as inspiration, participants can expect to engage in a collaborative poetry-building exercise, exploring topics of grief, growth, and all that lies beneath. In honor of Día de los Muertos and the personal nature of grief, the event will end with a hands-on votive candle-making activity. Participants can take their one-of-a-kind creation home to shed light and remembrance on all we grieve.
