Do you know the story of the largest child migration in U.S. history? Between 1854 and 1929 over 250,000 orphans and unwanted children were taken out of New York City and given away at train stations across America. The Orphan Trains-Foundlings to the Frontier program informs and entertains audiences of all ages about the little-known chapter in history. Led by Author and Humanities Scholar Alison Moore and Musician and Presenter Phil Lancaster, these programs incorporate live music, storytelling, video interviews, and a discussion. The programs are free and family-friendly.
