Changing the Narrative: K-12 Indigenous Literacy & Literature Symposium

Do you want to build your capacity for culturally sustaining-revitalizing practices Join the Office of Indian Education, Arizona Humanities and ASU Labriola Native American Data Center for a FREE in-person professional learning symposium. Participating educators will walk away with Indigenous authored books for their classrooms!

This program is for K-12 Indigenous-serving educators. Registration is currently full. Please direct questions to the Office of Indian Education.

SESSION OVERVIEW: The Changing the Narrative: K-12 Indigenous Literacy & Literature Symposium is a unique professional learning event that is designed to build Indigenous-serving educators’ capacity for culturally sustaining-revitalizing practices. At this symposium, educators will have the opportunity to learn how to accurately and respectfully integrate Indigenous-authored youth literature into K-12 classrooms. In addition to exploring diverse literature, educators will actively engage in designing lessons and resources.
