Assertion Films and Black Barrel Media are pleased to announce the premiere of the Frontline Women mini-series podcast in March for Women’s History Month! Join Us for two podcast episodes premiering as part of the Legends of the Old West podcast.
Episode 1 is available March 24, 2021
Episode 2 is available March 31, 2021
The Frontline Women podcast explores the important contributions of women to the nation’s success during times of crisis and specifically during World War Two. Seldom in the limelight but working on the frontlines day and night these women paved the way for generations of women to come. Diverse Arizona women joined the workforce in unprecedented numbers at locations like the Navajo Ordnance Depot, Fort Huachuca, the Sage Memorial Hospital and Harvey Houses across the Southwest. Generally speaking, women won battles not with firearms, but by rising above demeaning treatment, building coalitions and advocating for equality. Documentarian and host Katrina Parks interviews historians and authors including Ailema De Sousa, Stephen Fried, Heidi Osselaer, Jim Kristofic and John Westerlund along with the women themselves and their families.
Legends of the Old West is available on all major podcast platforms including Apple Podcasts, Spotify, iHeartRadio, Google Podcasts and more. It is also available to stream on YouTube https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCUVRfp5H1frBzTegq9qMNIQÂ
