Using headlines, editorials, advertisements, and photojournalism, Sativa Peterson of the State of Arizona Research Library will give a free, interactive presentation introducing attendees to Arizona’s historical newspapers. Learn about some of the women who edited and published Arizona newspapers in the early 20th century and discover how you can use newspaper archives to delve into your own family history. This presentation is made possible by the Arizona Humanities.

ABOUT THE HOST
Sativa Peterson is the News Content Program Manager for the State of Arizona Research Library. Over the past three years she’s helped the State of Arizona digitize over one hundred fifty thousand pages of historical newspapers and contributed content to Chronicling America, a national newspaper database hosted by the Library of Congress.
